Phases de Lune
Although the Villeret collection name is English, the mother tongue of Blancpain Villeret Quantieme Phases de Lune is French, as is much more appropriate for a genuine Swiss watch. Phases de Lune, Phases of the Moon, or in more beautiful German, Phases of the Moon, is their individual proper name. Accordingly, the lower half of the dial features an attractively designed moon phase display. Matching the other markings of the Blancpain Villeret Quantieme Phases de Lune, the face of the moon is in white. However, the background is not black like outer space, but dark blue, which makes it easier to distinguish the display from the rest of the dial.
Four hands
Two thick and two thin hands are mounted in the centre of the Blancpain Villeret Quantieme Phases de Lune. The thicker ones are, of course, the hour and minute hands, which can be easily distinguished by their different lengths. The longer thin hand with the bright dot and red tip is the second hand. The fourth hand has no bright markings and has a red arc at the end instead of a point. It is a date hand that indicates the day of the month on the inner number ring of the watch. Combined with the day of the week display and the month display in the upper half of the Blancpain Villeret Quantieme Phases de Lune, it offers you a complete calendar for your wrist.
