The technical-mechanical details the Breguet Type XX
This chronograph is equipped with an automatic winding mechanism driven by calibre 582 with a 48-hour power reserve. The display, luminescent of course, shows the hours, minutes, seconds and small seconds that appear under the anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Likewise, a rotating bezel has been adapted to this noble handcrafted model, which fits perfectly into the overall picture. The relative height of the bezel, which does not exceed 14.4 mm, is not surprising when you consider how many hand-fitted parts this marvel of watchmaking art has. It goes without saying that such a work of art, assembled from the most numerous individual parts, also requires a certain flywheel mass to be able to be operated, which is achieved with the Breguet Type XX by Schwermetall.
To round off the picture, the almost entirely stainless steel work of art has a screw-down crown and was polished by hand before it was finally allowed to be assembled. The complexity of the Breguet Type XX, which nevertheless managed to limit the diameter to 39 mm, occupies a special position among connoisseurs. The fact that this noble watch is also water resistant to u 100 meters is of little importance.
