The Cartier Tortue, the facts
All Tortue models have Roman numerals in common. The typical half filigree hands, which were hand-cut and manufactured in our own factory, are located above the silver-coloured dial. This, it may be rightly assumed, was also ground and polished at Cartier. This model, whose case comes in a white-gold setting, is as immaculate in perfection as its rotating octagonal bezel. The Savoir-Vivre masterpiece is driven by the caliber 430 MC. The diameter of the model discussed here is 44.95 mm, which, however, may vary slightly from model to model. The fact that this watch has a mechanical manufacture movement, which is kept running by hand winding, shows the Tortue as a classic.
The Cartier Tortue, exclusivity meets simplicity
This watch managed to be granted the status of a timeless classic from day one. Its elegant simplicity, combined with its simple elegance, is what has rightly earned it the status of a classic. The excellent workmanship of the precious materials, combined with the craftsmanship of the creatives, is truly unparalleled. Which can be seen as the reason why the Tortue can always be found in collectors' collections.
