Exceptional, punctual and yet relaxed
The monochrome black dial and the single hand of the Meistersinger Classic Plus Metris also convey a feeling of calm. At the slow pace of an hour hand, the beige-coloured hand moves leisurely around the clock twice a day, while still indicating the time to the minute. The light yet gentle colour makes it stand out clearly from the dial. Its red tip provides an additional contrast to the beige scale and inscription of the Meistersinger Classic Plus Metris. The minutes can thus be read at a glance from the position between the five-minute subdivisions on the scale.
Metris
Metris is the dative of the Latin word Metrum, which is derived from the ancient Greek μέτρον or metron. Metrum means verse measure or syllable measure and so the name Metris can be translated as dedicated to the verse measure or syllable measure. Meistersinger Classic Plus Metris is thus inspired by the rhythm of classical poetry and the cultivated, lyrical language. At the same time, however, its name is also reminiscent of the word metre, the symbol of precise measurement par excellence. In this way, the name of this unique watch also refers to its relationship with culture, art and classicism, to its close connection with history and to its precision in timekeeping.
