The history of the watch manufacturer Mido
The Mido company looks back on a history of more than a hundred years. Mido was founded in 1918 under the name Schaeren & Cie in Switzerland. Today, the watch manufacturer has its headquarters in LeLocle in the Swiss Jura mountains. The name Mido comes from Spanish and means something like "I measure". The Mido Multifort, which was developed in 1934, was the first watch in the world to combine the following four characteristics in one watch: automatic winding, anti-magnetic, shockproof and waterproof.
