1858
1858 was the founding year of the Swiss watch manufacturer Fabrique d'Horlogerie Minerva SA, whose former workshop in Villeret in the Jura mountains is now run by Montblanc. This makes the year the beginning of the history of the watch division of the luxury products manufacturer from Germany, because together with the location, Montblanc also took over the great expertise of Minerva and its development work still takes place there today. With the Montblanc 1858 Collection, Montblanc wants to celebrate this long tradition and therefore the models in the collection are inspired by the unforgettable watches that Minerva produced in the 1920s and 1930s for military and mountain use.
Reconnect
Reconnect is the English keyword under which Montblanc promotes the Montblanc 1858 Collection. The word is an imperative and means: Get in touch again! or Reconnect! Montblanc refers to both self-discovery and a return to nature. By reconnecting with nature, taking the time to experience it and finding our way back to its rhythms, we should also find our way back to ourselves, to our natural origins and to our true personality. A watch from the Montblanc 1858 Collection is the ideal, tough yet elegant and beautiful companion on this journey.
