Montblanc, the traditional Hamburg-based company, launched its first Smartwatch in 2017. The model is called Montblanc Summit and features a high-quality design that stands for prestige and luxury. The operating system of the robust and intelligent watch is Android Wear 2.0 and the elegant and stable case is optionally made of stainless steel or titanium. The successor, the Summit 2, is considerably smaller in diameter and equipped with many additional features. Montblanc has thus convincingly established itself as an ambitious watch manufacturer. The elegant case of the Montblanc Summit is 4.6 cm tall and protected under sapphire crystal, it houses a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset for computing, plus 512 MB RAM and 4 GB mass storage. The battery with a capacity of 300 milliampere-hours ensures a runtime of approximately 1 day. The robust Smartwatch is dust and water protected according to IP68 standard. Heart rate monitor, compass and barometer are built-in. Voice control is possible via a built-in microphone and WLAN connection as well. The watch is available with exchangeable wristbands in different versions. It runs under the control of Android Wear 2.0 and is compatible with iPhones from iOS 9 and Android devices from version 4.3.
