One small step for a human being, but a great leap for mankind

The watch is equipped with a 42 mm case. The case is made of stainless steel and in this version is equipped with a bezel of 18K moonshine gold. The 18k Moonshine-Gold was also used for all hands and indices. Omega does not mark the individual hours on this special model. The only exception to this is a single marking at 11 o'clock. Another true masterpiece is the illustration of the famous astronaut Buzz Aldrin. This depicts the hero of the journey to the moon as a laser engraving on his descent to the surface of the moon. It is located on the subsidiary dial at 9 o'clock. The back of the watch case has a special engraving. For Omega had the footprint of Buzz Aldrin engraved on the anniversary edition. A lettering quotes his world-famous words "THAT'S ONE SMALL STEP FOR A MAN" (rounded at the top) and "ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND. (rounding bottom). The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Anniversary Limited Series is supplied with an elegant brushed metal bracelet. Each orderer will also receive an interchangeable wristband with velcro fastener made of blackened cork. The Omega watch model is powered by the Master Chronometer Calibre 386 and features a flat, scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a high-quality case that is water-resistant to 50 metres.

The Omega company

The manufacturer of Swiss premium watches was founded in 1848, and its creator Louis Brandt handed over the company to his two sons Louis-Paul and César in 1879 after his death. In 1894, the brothers set completely new standards in the world of watchmaking with the invention of a new calibre. They called this achievement and subsequently their brand Omega.
