A Swiss watch manufacturer with a long tradition
The Piaget company is committed to an idea. To produce extremely flat watches. This has undoubtedly been achieved in the company's 140-year history. The success story began in 1874 in the village of La Côte-aux-Fées in the Geneva Jura. Georges Edouard Piaget founded his small watch manufactory there. Initially he produced only for other watch manufacturers. In 1911, his son, Timothée Piaget, began to produce his own watches. Over time, the Piaget company developed into a true specialist in flat watches and movements. It holds numerous world records in this sector and has made it into the Guinness Book of Records. The Piaget watchmaker achieved worldwide fame with the Polo model. The design of the watch extended from the bracelet to the case and the dial. Yves G. Piaget experimented with this revolutionary design in 1979, with the success of the Piaget Polo being supported by the James Bond girl Ursula Andress. She wore the watch model in the bond film.
