Innovation as tradition
Ulysse Nardin was founded in 1846 and carries the name of its founder through time. After their foundation, they specialised in the innovation of a new precision standard for marine chronometers. The future-oriented mentality still drives the work today and leads to new standards in the watch industry. With silicon, Ulysse Nardin introduced a previously unused material for watches. Today, the company has a status among the most important representatives of watch manufacturers and continues its innovative technology in the Freak Vision.
The inner workings of Freak Vision
With the "Grinder", Ulysse Nardin introduces a new automatic elevator system for Freak Vision. It works with a four-bladed connection between the flywheel mass and the frame. This allows even small movements of the wrist to be perceived and used. The doubled torque is supplemented by an innovative anchor escapement. The self-developed technology relies on elastic and flat springs for more precision. A silicon escapement and welded nickel elements for inertia complete the interior of the Freak Vision. Freak Vision continues Ulysse Nardin's quest for innovation, combining it with its own brand aesthetic.
