      The diving watches in the Fifty Fathoms series made the Swiss watch manufacturer Blancpain world famous. The first dive of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe took place in the late 1950s. The scientist and deep-sea pioneer Auguste Piccard ventured into unknown depths in his submarine with a Bathyscaphe Trieste. Today's models in the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe series combine sporty luxury with top technical performance.       The cases of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe series are made of ceramic, stainless steel or super-light titanium. A thread is of course not possible with a ceramic case and these watches therefore have a pressure back. All case variants are water-resistant up to 30 bar. The watches are equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel and are powered by a superlative caliber. The hand-made, highly precise and reliable automatic movements also offer an impressive power reserve of five days.
