The Blancpain Villeret Chronographe Monopoussoir watch model is water-resistant to 30 meters, features a complete calendar (date, day of the week and month display) and an elegant moon phase. Another useful function is the small seconds. The Roman numerals and the hands are also made of 18-carat rose gold. The men's chronograph impresses with a striking diameter of 40.30 millimeters. The height of the gold case is 12.90 millimeters. The automatic movement is equipped with a 66CM8 caliber, has 35 jewels and has a 40-hour power reserve. History of the Blancpain brand

The Blancpain label was founded by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain in 1735 in Villeret. In 1815, his great-grandson Frédéric-Louis Blancpain began series production. In 1926, in collaboration with John Harwood, Blancpain launched the first wristwatch with an automatic winding movement. In 1953, the Blancpain brand developed the first diving watch with a mechanical movement and a bezel that can be adjusted on one side and shows the exact diving time for the French military/combat diver unit. The Blancpain manufactory also produces one of the world's most complicated wristwatches (Blancpain 1735). This exemplary masterpiece includes a tourbillon and automatic winding, a chronograph with split-seconds hand, a minute repeater and a perpetual calendar. This model is only produced once a year. The Blancpain company emphasizes in its advertising slogans that no quartz watch has ever left the company and that no such model will be produced in the future.
