The upper part of the dial displays the month, date, and day of the week at a glance – clearly arranged, easy to read, and elegantly integrated. This function only needs to be manually corrected once a year – on March 1st.

Technology that thinks for itself – the Annual Calendar in detail

The Portuguese Annual Calendar features the IWC-manufactured caliber 52850. It not only offers a seven-day power reserve, but also a sophisticated calendar display that distinguishes between the month, date, and day of the week – clearly positioned below the 12 o'clock position. The mechanism automatically accounts for the length of each month and only needs to be adjusted once a year, at the end of March.

The winding system is powered by the proven Pellaton system, which is particularly efficient and durable. The sapphire crystal caseback allows for a view of the finely decorated movement – a technical highlight for anyone who appreciates the meticulous craftsmanship of watchmaking.

The Portugieser Annual Calendar is available in select versions – either in stainless steel or rose gold. Depending on the model, a silver or deep blue dial is paired with a hand-crafted alligator leather strap from Santoni.
