Bell & Ross Watches - Square, Practical and More Than Good
Anyone looking for a high-quality wristwatch these days simply can't ignore the striking "square watches" from Bell & Ross. Fifteen years ago, industrial designer Bruno Belamich and his childhood friend, Carlos Rosillo, launched the company, whose unique watches have been an integral part of the industry since Baselworld 2005, at the very latest. After graduating, the two founders worked as specialists for onboard instruments in the aviation industry, gaining experience in the field of watches. The inspiration for the unusual, angular design of their wristwatches is said to date back to this era. With this unconventional design, Bell & Ross attracted attention early on, particularly among collectors, and quickly established a name for itself. Even though opinions on the daring design initially differed greatly, the company's advertising campaign was well received, and the idea of watches inspired by aircraft instruments caught on!
Today, Bell & Ross watches are undisputedly among the world's leading luxury watch brands. As a relatively young company, it's quite something to be able to compete with established luxury brands like Rolex, etc. Today, Belamich and Rosillo can look back on collaborations with renowned brands like Ralph Lauren and Chanel, and the name Bell & Ross has long been synonymous with the industry. The company is headquartered in Paris, but since 1996, production has taken place at the factory in the Swiss "watchmaking city" of La Chaux-de-Fonds. Bell & Ross now has 500 retail outlets in 50 different countries and sells around 60,000 watches annually.
Top-notch functionality
Bell & Ross specializes in high-quality instrument watches for anyone who finds themselves in extreme conditions. So, it's not just a design for the real man – behind the trendy exterior lies the highest level of functionality and durability. Anyone who frequently has to contend with extreme heat, cold, acceleration, or intense pressure can at least be sure they have the right watch at their side! To offer their customers the best instrument watches on the market, Bell & Ross even analyzes each possible extreme situation with those affected, as they are, after all, best acquainted with the exceptional conditions the watches must endure. Astronauts, divers, pilots, fighter pilots, mine clearers, elite units, and other "extremists" personally contribute to the development of Bell & Ross models.
This means customers can be sure that they can put their complete trust in their watches when they are out and about. Bell & Ross also employs specially specialized experts whose combined knowledge is what makes these timepieces so special: every development step is subject to the guiding principle of creating a watch that has everything that is important and forgoes the rest in favor of the fundamentals. This means that particular emphasis is placed on the features that are important to customers in their Bell & Ross watch. Unnecessary gimmicks are avoided. Every single detail of the watches convinces both manufacturer and wearer with its special benefit. Bell & Ross's four guiding principles: functionality, durability, fine mechanical precision and good legibility . These are what make fine Bell & Ross watches special. Before the watches go over the counter or into online stores, they are subjected to strict quality and functionality controls.
Classic yet special
But Bell & Ross is far from satisfied with the impressive functionality and robustness of its watches. Setting new trends in the luxury watch sector is equally important to the company. Each model has a particularly appealing, modern design to meet the visual expectations of its customers. Bell & Ross always strives to create something unique and innovative without following fleeting hype. The brand largely relies on the familiar, clean lines of a square shape, but with its Vintage collection, a homage to pilot's watches, it has also ultimately won over fans of the more common round design. Combined with a timeless design that never goes out of style, Bell & Ross continually creates new classics. Instead of distracting from the striking shape of its watches with additional frills and design experiments, the rest is kept simple. In this way, the "trademark" of the timepieces is even more emphasized, and the company has succeeded in establishing itself as a recognized trend brand. After all, elegant, simple classics are always in!
Creative minds full of ideas
Head designer Bruno Belamich is constantly finding new inspiration for his collections, always creating something unique. Lovers of the brand are sure to never get bored! Bell & Ross creates creative collections time and time again and doesn't follow any set rules. Detached from the mainstream trends of the moment, the brand does exactly what it should – its own thing, thus setting itself apart from the competition. Bell & Ross divides its extravagant range into the sections Sky, Earth, and Sea. As the names suggest, the respective models were inspired by the natural elements. Individual pieces stand out for their very unusual designs: the BR 01 Instrument and BR 03 Instrument models from the Sky category. The wristwatches, with their customary angular design, are particularly reminiscent of an aircraft's onboard instruments and thus fit perfectly into the collection. Other models impress primarily with their remarkable functions: in particular the BR 02 Instrument from the Water category, which remains water-resistant to a depth of 11,100 meters. Visually in the style of sporty diving watches, the watch can also be worn above water.
Stylish eye-catchers also for women
Anyone who immediately associates watches for men when they hear terms like "striking" and "angular" will be surprised: Bell & Ross also has timepieces for women in its range. The feminine editions combine the tried-and-tested, hard, square shape with classic, muted colors or delicate pastel shades, optionally with subtle glitter, as in the BR S Novarosa model. Thanks to the numerous combination options with straps in various designs and materials, such as metallic look, snakeskin or ceramic look, women can choose their very own favorite piece. No wish is left unfulfilled. Bell & Ross also offers several exclusive luxury models in a variety of designs for the most discerning customer, whether man or woman: One interesting example is the BR-X1 Tourbillon Sapphire model, whose case is made entirely of sapphire. After diamonds, sapphire is the hardest material in the world, making the transparent watch not only a real eye-catcher but also particularly scratch-resistant. Due to the extremely elaborate workmanship, the watch is limited to only 5 (!) pieces worldwide, and the price is a proud 450,000€.
