Avant-garde design with iconic form language
At first glance, it's clear: the Aikon Master is no ordinary Aikon. While it retains the series' six-link bezel design and integrated caseback, the skeletonized dial sets a completely new tone. The open design allows a direct view of the balance wheel, gear train, and the fine finishing of the movement—a horological statement that makes technology visible.
The case is made of stainless steel, with satin-finished and polished surfaces, and measures 45 mm in diameter. Despite its size, the watch sits harmoniously on the wrist thanks to its flat height and curved lugs. The dial is clearly structured: a small seconds hand at 4 o'clock and an open area around the balance wheel add interest without overdoing the layout.
The hands are faceted, skeletonized, and coated with luminous material. The contrast between open and closed surfaces, combined with the high level of detail of the guilloché background, gives the watch an expressive, modern look.
Mechanics you can see – Caliber ML115 with skeletonized construction
Inside the Aikon Master is the Maurice Lacroix Caliber ML115 – a modified automatic movement based on the proven Sellita SW200-1. It has been specially skeletonized and decorated to reveal its technical depth. With a power reserve of approximately 38 hours and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it is suitable for everyday use, yet also a truly visual experience.
The open balance wheel is the heart of the design—visible from the front, vibrant in movement. It is wound automatically by a skeletonized rotor, which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back, just like the rest of the movement. The finish is exquisite: Côtes de Genève, perlage, beveled edges—everything a watchmaker's heart desires.
The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters and, thanks to its sturdy construction, is suitable for everyday use – despite its watchmaking openness.
A watch for enthusiasts with an eye for detail
The Aikon Master is available in several different versions – with different dial colors, some with DLC-coated cases, and some with rubber straps. The quick-change system allows for easy swapping of the strap, allowing the watch to be adapted to a variety of styles.
Whether as an introduction to the world of skeleton watches or as a conscious decision for visible mechanics: The Maurice Lacroix Aikon Master is a modern statement – for technology lovers, design connoisseurs and anyone who wants to wear more than an “ordinary” watch.
