Timeless design in harmonious balance
The design of the Master Collection follows a traditional understanding of elegance: round cases with fine proportions, slim bezels, domed sapphire crystals, and richly detailed dials. Typical features include applied Arabic numerals or Roman numerals, leaf-shaped hands in blue or silver, and intricate guilloché patterns that lend depth and structure to the dial. Classic colors dominate: silver, midnight blue, black, or champagne—some matte, some with a sunburst finish.
Case sizes range from 34 to 42 mm, making them suitable for virtually any wrist. Polished stainless steel, two-tone, or rose gold PVD finishes lend the models a sophisticated look. Depending on the model, diamond indices or mother-of-pearl dials are also available—especially for the women's versions.
Alligator leather straps with a safety folding clasp or multi-link stainless steel bracelets ensure a comfortable fit. The harmonious combination of mechanics, materials, and design makes the Master Collection one of Longines' most versatile lines.
Mechanical diversity – from three-hand watches to annual calendars
The strength of the Master Collection lies not only in its design, but also in its technical range. From the simple three-hand model with a date display to moon phase displays and chronographs with a full calendar, this line offers a wide range of functions. Models with a moon phase display at 6 o'clock and a central calendar hand are particularly popular – a complication that is both decorative and functional.
Longines' own automatic movements from the L888 and L687 series are used, depending on their complexity. These offer power reserves of up to 72 hours, work with silicon hairsprings for increased resistance to magnetic fields, and are designed for long-term reliability. Many movements are based on exclusively modified ETA calibers and undergo strict quality controls, some according to COSC standards.
The movements are visible through a sapphire crystal case back on almost all models—finely decorated with Geneva stripes, blued screws, and a Longines rotor. Operation is intuitive, the rate is stable, and service is minimal—ideal for everyday wear and as part of a collection.
A collection for every phase of life
The Longines Master Collection is designed for watch enthusiasts who desire to combine mechanical substance with stylistic restraint. With its wide range of functions and variations—with or without complications, sporty and elegant, or classically understated—it offers the right model for almost every taste.
A watch from this collection represents more than just timekeeping: it embodies Longines' watchmaking tradition at its finest – high-quality, reliable, and wearable at any time.
