The Planet Ocean Chronograph and certified Master Chronometer embody the pioneering and inventive spirit of the 21st century: automatic winding and power reserve of up to 60 hours, column wheel and co-axial escapement, anti-magnetic movement and smooth ceramic dial. Important for sport and professional divers are the screw-down crown, the unidirectional rotating ceramic diving bezel with diving scale, the helium escape valve and the property of being water-resistant to 60 bar (600 meters/2000 feet). Some models have an orange rubber luminous marking in the first quarter segment. The time is shown via central hour, minute and chronograph second hands. For lovers of the metallic effect, a titanium grade 5 version with a sandblasted titanium dial and gray silicon nitride bezel is available for purchase. A limited special edition is dedicated to swimming star Michael Phelps.

The inventive traditionalists at OMEGA have achieved a stroke of genius with the Seamaster series. Men with an affinity for technology favor the versatile Planet Ocean 600 M Co-Axial Chronometer Chronograph with additional functions. A double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal, domed and scratch-resistant, protects the expressive ceramic dial. It shows Arabic numerals and scales made of Liquidmetal or Ceragold. Applied indices with white Super-LumiNova produce a blue light, while the minute hand and dot on the bezel glow green. All displays are clearly visible underwater and can be quickly understood. The dial has a printed minute ring, date display at "6" and rhodium-plated sub-dial with a small second. A 12-hour and 60-minute counter provides information on the time elapsed.

lies in its performance, precision and sophistication. The transparent case back allows a view of the OMEGA Co-Axial movement calibre 9300-9901 with silicon balance spring and two barrels. The surface finish of the movement components is decorated with Geneva stripes. Small wave grooves, known as alveolus patterns, decorate the screw-on case back. The 45.5 mm case is available in either stainless steel or 18 ct Sedna gold. It is held in place by an antibacterially treated rubber strap. Those who prefer a waterproof leather strap with a rubber backing can opt for the same functionality and wearing properties.
