The housing
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39 has a diameter of 39mm and is made entirely of stainless steel. The 904 L stainless steel used in this watch meets the highest standards and is also used in aviation. It is characterized above all by its high resistance to corrosion, which means it retains its shine and beauty for a long time. Even in extreme situations, the alloy retains its splendor and can be easily polished, while still being particularly robust. This is ensured by a monobloc middle section, screw-down case back and a screw-down winding crown.
The band
With the famous Oyster Band, Rolex has developed a three-link band that is both elegant and comfortable. Since the late 1930s, it has proven itself to be a robust band and is characterized above all by its wide and flat elements. The three-row band is rounded off by the Oysterclasp clasp. Since then, many attempts have been made to copy its design, but the original has never been achieved. Thanks to its construction, the band hugs the wrist and is almost unnoticeable to wear.
The dial
Whether in elegant dark rhodium, striking red grape or sporty blue, the dial represents the face of the watch and its personal touch. To ensure perfect legibility of the watch, the indices are made of 18 carat gold, which means that tarnishing is impossible. In keeping with this, the dials are almost exclusively handcrafted in-house at Rolex and meet the highest quality standards. The look is rounded off by scratch-resistant and robust sapphire crystal.
The work
The 3132 caliber used was developed entirely by Rolex and is produced entirely by the brand. In addition to an automatic self-winding mechanism, the movement has a Parachrom hairspring and an anti-shock system. This offers maximum protection even in extreme conditions and in the event of major impacts. As a precision watch (+/- 2 seconds per day), like all Rolex watches, it bears the certificate of a Swiss chronometer. These can only be awarded by an independent Swiss testing center. A 48-hour power reserve shows the high quality of the movement. Three central hands are powered by this and show the hour, minute and second perfectly. The stop-second function offers the possibility of setting the time almost exactly.

Water resistant to 100 meters, it can be used to explore the depths of the sea or climb the highest mountains. To ensure this quality over the long term, every watch is tested to the limit before it leaves the factory. In addition to functionality, visual perfection is also ensured through pure handcraft.
