The name American Classic can be translated as the American classic, but also the classically American. The name American Classic is not just a mood maker. Hamilton watches actually come from America, where the watch manufacturer can look back on over 125 years of tradition. The Adams & Perry Watch Company was founded in Pennsylvania in 1874 and became the Hamilton Watch Company in 1892. This name also recalls a multicultural tradition. The Hamilton clan is a Scottish noble house, with presumably English origins and an Irish branch - and also a diverse tradition in America.
