American Classic

The name American Classic can be translated as the American classic, but also the classically American. This is of course a reference to the traditionally elegant basic theme of the Hamilton American Classic collection. But especially in Europe it also conveys a feeling of the big world and big business. It makes us think of the hustle and bustle of New York or the vastness of the American continent. For a long time, America's culture was shaped by the diversity of immigrants from all over the world from whom this nation emerged. Accordingly, the classic American watch must correspond to a variety of people and expectations.

The name American Classic is not just a mood maker. Hamilton watches actually come from America, where the watch manufacturer can look back on over 125 years of tradition. The Adams & Perry Watch Company was founded in Pennsylvania in 1874 and became the Hamilton Watch Company in 1892. This name also recalls a multicultural tradition. The Hamilton clan is a Scottish noble house, with presumably English origins and an Irish branch - and also a diverse tradition in America.
