The case

Thanks to a monobloc centerpiece, which has a screwed case back and 36 mm in diameter, the watch is water resistant to 100 meters. A special key is used to close the case, hermetically locking it so nothing can get in. Made of 904 L stainless steel, a material otherwise used in aviation, it underlines the robust manufacturing. Highly resistant to corrosion, the watch defies extreme situations and can be used even with large temperature fluctuations.

The strap

The Oyster strap was developed in the late 1930s and has been setting standards ever since. It is not only comfortable to wear, but also meets the highest technical and aesthetic standards. With predominantly wide and flat elements, the three-row band is one of the most widely used bands. The band is rounded off with the matching Oyster clasp. Thus, the elegant band is comfortable and sturdy, making it the perfect companion for the timeless Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36.

The dial

The dial of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual is available in four different design styles. Steel colors, Red Grape, blue and gray are the different colors that can be freely selected and give the watch personality. The indices made of 18 carat gold are the same on all of them and prevent tarnishing. This ensures that the watch is always perfectly legible. Since it is almost entirely handmade, the dial also meets the highest standards and shines with perfection. The view of the dial is rounded off by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with which a constant view is guaranteed. The centrally placed hour, minute and second hands are thus easily legible, the stop-second guarantees an accurate setting of the time.

The movement

The automatic self-winding mechanism is operated by a crescent-shaped oscillating weight. It can be charged in two directions, thus taking advantage of every movement of the wrist. The 3130 movement was entirely developed and produced by Rolex, which means that each movement is also checked by hand. The built-in paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring allows the watch to continue to function at its best, even with large temperature fluctuations or strong vibrations.

The quality

Perfection and top performance are terms rightly associated with the Rolex brand. Whether exploring the depths of the seas or the peaks of the highest mountains, the Oyster Perpetual is a faithful companion. To that end, each watch is tested to its limit before it leaves the factory halls. The certificate as a Swiss chronometer, awarded by an independent commission, objectively confirms the watch's perfection. This includes a rate accuracy of +/- 2 seconds per day. As a result, the watch offers a timelessly elegant design that not only looks beautiful, but is also functionally practical. The ideal companion for all situations.
