Hamilton's lines at a glance
The Khaki Aviation stands for the connection with aviation and includes pilot's chronographs such as the X-Wind and the Converter as well as the Pilot Pioneer in the style of historic military watches. The Khaki Navy is the line of dive watches, with models such as the Frogman and the BeLOWZERO, which is water resistant to 1,000 metres. The Jazzmaster combines classic elegance with modern technology, and the American Classic takes up designs from the brand's history, above all the Intra-Matic of the 1960s. Finally, the Ventura goes back to the world's first battery-powered wristwatch of 1957 and, with its asymmetrical case, remains the brand's design icon to this day.
The movements
Many of Hamilton's mechanical models are powered by the automatic calibre H-10, which runs for up to 80 hours when fully wound. The chronographs are equipped with calibres H-21 and H-31, the hand-wound chronographs with the H-51, each with a power reserve of 60 hours. Some versions use a silicon balance spring, which makes the movement less sensitive to magnetic fields. The range is complemented by Swiss quartz movements, for example in the Ventura.
