Design all in black – uncompromisingly modern
The look of the Black Magic series thrives on a reduction to a single color – but not on effect. The black ceramic case not only gives the watch a particularly scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic surface, but also ensures a pleasantly light wearing experience despite its striking size. Polished and satin-finished surfaces alternate, adding structure and depth to the monochrome appearance.
Dials vary depending on the model: On many chronographs, such as the Big Bang Unico Black Magic, the movement is visible through a skeletonized dial—a showcase for mechanics and detailed craftsmanship. On more elegant models in the Classic Fusion series, a closed dial with a sunburst finish creates a more purist appearance. Indices and hands are perfectly integrated in color—often in anthracite or dark ruthenium—and coated with luminous material for easy legibility even in low light.
High-quality technology with powerful interior
The calibers range from the proven automatic HUB1110 to Hublot's in-house caliber HUB1280 with flyback chronograph function. These movements are robust, reliable, and mostly skeletonized. Looking at the back of the watch, the tinted sapphire crystal caseback reveals the precise mechanics—all in black or gray to stay true to the style.
The power reserve ranges from 42 to 72 hours, depending on the caliber. The movements are regulated in-house by Hublot and meet high standards of precision and craftsmanship. Additionally, each model is water-resistant to at least 100 meters—ideal for everyday wear, travel, and style-conscious activities.
Variants with character and depth
The Hublot Black Magic models are available in various sizes and configurations. Big Bang Unico models have a sporty look, with a case diameter of 44 or 45 millimeters and an expressive skeleton design. Classic Fusion Black Magic, on the other hand, is reduced, flatter, and more elegant—often with a 42-millimeter diameter and a simple dial.
All models are fitted with high-quality straps – usually textured rubber in black or a combination with alligator leather. The folding clasps are also in dark PVD to consistently continue the monochrome look.
