Striking design meets technical openness
Visually, the Big Bang Meca-10 remains true to Hublot's DNA: a powerful case shape, screw-down bezel, and visible movement components. But the Meca-10 version goes even further. The fully skeletonized dial not only displays hands and indices, but also reveals the inner workings of the caliber in all its depth. Two parallel barrels are visible, as is the power reserve indicator at 6 o'clock – a technical highlight reminiscent of an industrial display.
The movement's architecture is horizontal, giving the watch a symmetrical, structural appearance. The hands and indicators are clearly legible, despite the technical complexity of the construction. The watch's color scheme is predominantly dark—black, titanium, ceramic—complemented by functional contrasts in red, silver, or anthracite. The case measures 45 mm and its open design lends a particularly dynamic feel.
The combination of material diversity, visible mechanics and industrial appearance makes this watch a highly recognizable collector's item - for people who combine design with a sense of technology.
Hublot Manufacture Caliber HUB1201 – 10-day power reserve
At the heart of the Big Bang Meca-10 is the in-house caliber HUB1201. Developed specifically for this model, it offers an exceptional power reserve of up to 240 hours—a full 10 days. The remaining power reserve is displayed via a unique system of racks and slides—visible on the front and a true highlight for mechanical enthusiasts.
The movement is manually wound—a deliberately traditional step in an otherwise ultra-modern timepiece. Winding the watch not only feels the resistance of the spring, but also the direct connection to the technology. The craftsmanship is consistently high: brushed surfaces, skeletonized bridges, and modern material combinations. The sapphire crystal case back provides a further insight into the movement—a showcase of mechanics in its purest form.
The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters, shock-resistant, and equally suitable for active everyday wear as it is for the collector's shelf. Technical, sophisticated, and uncompromisingly modern.
Materials, variants and style
The Big Bang Meca-10 is available in various materials: black ceramic, titanium, King Gold, or as limited editions in carbon. All models share the same 45 mm case design and striking skeletonization. Hublot also offers a variety of straps – textured rubber, alligator leather, or high-tech textile with a black folding clasp.
Whether as a technical sculpture on the wrist or as an expression of mechanical fascination: The Meca-10 is a true statement – for watch lovers who want to keep an eye on not only the time, but also the movement itself.
