Vintage-inspired design with attention to detail
At the heart of the Conquest Heritage is a consistent return to historical models. The dial features a classic design: applied indices, slim dauphine hands, sunburst finishes, and, depending on the model, a fine minute track or a discreetly integrated date window. A particularly distinctive feature is the gold-colored emblem on the screw-down case back – a historical detail that also adorned the original models from the 1950s.
The case is made of stainless steel or stainless steel with gold-plated elements and measures 35 to 38 mm, depending on the model – deliberately kept smaller to reflect the authentic feel of historical watches. The case height remains slim and ensures a high level of comfort. The domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating underscores the vintage aesthetic without sacrificing modern functionality.
The dial colors range from classic silver to champagne to elegant black. The design is complemented by a high-quality leather strap with a traditional pin buckle – stylish, understated, and easily combined with both elegant and formal attire.
Mechanics with a modern core
Despite its historic appearance, the Conquest Heritage incorporates modern technology. Longines typically uses the L888 caliber in these models – a reliable automatic movement with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, a silicon hairspring, and increased rate stability. The movement is based on the ETA A31.L11 and has been specially modified for Longines to ensure durability and suitability for everyday use.
The watch is wound automatically by wear or manually via the crown. The movement is not visible, but rather covered by the historic, engraved caseback – in keeping with the spirit of the original models. Nevertheless, it meets current quality standards and enables a precision that combines the charm of the past with the precision of the present.
It is easy to use, the rate is stable, and the ticking is fine – a classic watch that is designed to be suitable for everyday use.
Variants with history
The Longines Conquest Heritage is available in several versions: in stainless steel, with a gold-plated bezel, or as a fully gold-plated version. The models differ in dial color, case diameter, and bracelet – but always remain true to the original character. Special editions or limited-edition reissues that faithfully reproduce the 1954 design are particularly popular.
This watch is ideal for collectors, lovers of classic wristwatches, or anyone who wants to wear a piece of watch history on their wrist – mechanical, authentic, and timeless.
