Blue Datejust dials
Rolex makes most blue Datejust dials with a sunray finish. The fine grooves radiating from the centre refract the light, so the blue changes from dark navy to a bright royal blue depending on the angle. Depending on the reference, the hour markers are white gold batons or set with diamonds, and the hands carry Chromalight luminescent material. As photos rarely reproduce the shade exactly, we are happy to describe a watch to you by phone.
Datejust 36 or Datejust 41
The Datejust 36 is the classic size of the line and suits almost any wrist. The Datejust 41 has more presence, and here reference 126300 with a smooth Oystersteel bezel is just as popular as the 126334 with a fluted white gold bezel. Both sizes are powered by the in-house calibre 3235 with around 70 hours of power reserve and are water-resistant to 100 metres.
Bezel and bracelet
Both Datejust bezels go well with a blue dial. The fluted white gold bezel catches the light and looks more formal, while the smooth bezel puts the dial more in the foreground. For the bracelet you choose between the Jubilee with five narrow links and the sportier Oyster with three broad links.
Other blue Rolex models
Other Rolex lines are also available with a blue dial. The Day-Date pairs blue with yellow gold, white gold or platinum, and the Sky-Dweller combines it with an annual calendar and second time zone.
