History of the Black Bay

Tudor introduced the Black Bay in 2012. It was inspired by the brand's diver's watches from 1954 onwards and the models Tudor supplied to the French Navy from 1969, which gave rise to the snowflake hands. The first Black Bay had a burgundy bezel, and further colours such as blue and black followed later.

Black Bay and Black Bay 58

The classic Black Bay measures 41 mm, is water-resistant to 200 metres and uses the in-house MT5602 calibre with around 70 hours of power reserve. The Black Bay 58 is more compact and slimmer at 39 mm and comes particularly close to the historic models. Under Black Bay Steel you will find the models in stainless steel.

GMT, Chrono and Pro

The Black Bay GMT shows a second time zone with an additional hand and two-tone bezel. The Black Bay Chrono is an automatic chronograph with column wheel and vertical clutch. The Black Bay Pro combines the GMT function with a compact 39 mm case and fixed steel bezel.

Black Bay with fixed bezel

For anyone who does not need a diving bezel, there is the Black Bay with fixed bezel in 36 mm, 39 mm and 41 mm, and in 31 mm for slim wrists. They keep the snowflake hands and rose crown and look more understated on the wrist, ideal as an everyday watch.
