Tissot Ballade

Classic design with a silicon balance spring

The Tissot Ballade is the brand's classic line, with rounded shapes, fine indices and a Powermatic 80 movement featuring a patented silicon balance spring. Many references are COSC-certified and therefore tested as chronometers. It is offered in 30, 34, 39 and 40 millimetres, in stainless steel, in PVD-coated versions and with mother-of-pearl dials.

Chronometer certification and silicon balance spring

The silicon balance spring is insensitive to magnetic fields and temperature variations and, together with COSC testing, ensures accuracy well above the standard for series production. A chronometer certificate means that the movement was tested before casing over fifteen days in five positions and at three temperatures. The power reserve is up to 80 hours.

Versions for women and men

The 30 and 34 millimetre versions are the line's women's variants and come with mother-of-pearl or diamond dials. The 39 and 40 millimetre versions are the men's models in stainless steel or with a gold-plated case. Sapphire crystal and a glass case back are part of the specification throughout, and water resistance is 50 metres.
