Tissot PR516

The perforated bracelet from the 1960s

The Tissot PR516 goes back to a sports watch from 1965 whose perforated steel bracelet was modelled on the steering wheel of a racing car. The new edition takes up this bracelet and the distinctive design of the dial. The line comprises versions in 38, 40 and 41 millimetres, as a quartz chronograph, as an automatic with Powermatic 80 and as a mechanical chronograph with manual winding.

Versions and movements

The 38 millimetre version with Powermatic 80 is the line's classic three-hand model and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve. The chronographs are available as a quartz version and as an automatic chronograph, joined by a mechanical chronograph with manual winding, whose movement is wound by hand. Sapphire crystal is standard throughout and water resistance is 100 metres.

Design

The line is characterised by the perforated steel bracelet, the contrasting counters on the chronographs and a dial based on the models of the 1960s. As an alternative to the steel bracelet, versions with a perforated leather strap are available. The line is aimed at wearers looking for a sports watch with a historical reference without doing without a modern movement.
