A name with meaning
The name Saxonia leaves no doubt where exclusive luxury timepieces come from: From Saxony. The state can look back on a long history as a pioneer in technical developments. In 1839 the first German steam locomotive was built in Saxony - named "Saxiona". A. Lange & Söhne ultimately named its innovative timepiece series after this pioneering invention.

Nothing but the finest mechanics
The Saxiona model series focuses on the impressive mechanics - whether traditional time display or impressive complication watch. The focus is particularly on technical optimisation and finding the ideal design solution for this. For this reason, every Saxonia is constructed from the movement. The watchmakers start with the "heart" of the timepiece and work their way outwards. Their aim is not to install as many parts as possible or to build in impressive complications, but the opposite: to focus on the mechanical essence. This special approach gives all Saxonia watches a minimalist, timeless elegance.
