Variations of the design
The basis of the unique Junghans Max Bill watches always remained the striking yet simple design of the dial. There were different variations, especially with and without numbers on the dial, but Max Bill's design was recognizable in each of these variations.
The Junghans Max Bill was equipped with the hand-wound caliber J84 and at the same time the Junghans company incorporated its complete "know-how" into the technology of the wristwatch designed by Max Bill. This is impressive because Junghans had its own movement development at the time and was even able to produce calibres in chronometer quality. As the world's third largest watchmaker after Rolex and Omega at the time, it was an impressive concentration on one product.
The success proved Junghans right, because the result was a timeless classic that far surpassed the usual watch design of that time and has lost nothing of its topicality to this day. As the heir to Max Bill, Junghans still produces the Junghans Max Bill in many different variations that have one thing in common: timeless simplicity and elegance.
