The watch is equipped with the new, innovative Nomos caliber neomatik Datum (DUW 6101). The large movement is extremely flat at 3.6 millimetres. Thanks to its innovative design, the date can be set in both directions.
Glashütte
For over 170 years, world-class timepieces have been manufactured in the small Saxon town of Glashütte, a traditional watchmaking town. The watchmakers who work here are among the best of their trade. There are only a few products in the world that are as strictly protected as watches from Glashütte. Strict rules apply to the "Glashütte" designation of origin. For example, at least 50 percent of the value added on the caliber must be generated locally in Glashütte. Nomos Glashütte achieves up to 95 percent instead of the required 50 percent.
Company history Nomos Glashütte
Nomos Glashütte was founded in 1990 by Roland Schwertner and is deeply rooted in his factory in Glashütte. In the in-house design studio in Berlin-Kreuzberg the entire creative work takes place, which is not directly related to the construction of watches. The watches are often designed in collaboration with well-known designers such as Mark Braun or Werner Aisslinger. Today, Nomos is the largest manufacturer of mechanical watches in Germany.
