The special qualities of the NOMOS Glashütte Tetra

The typography on the galvanized and silver-plated white dial has a modern look, as small serifs are omitted. Following the old watchmaking tradition, the hands were heated to over 290 degrees. As a result, they shimmer in cornflower blue through the sapphire crystal, completely without varnishing or painting. The NOMOS Glashütte Tetra measures 29.5 x 29.5 mm and has a hand-wound-friendly height of only 6.3 mm. The Tetra has a stainless steel case with a steel back and is splash-proof with a water resistance of 3 ATM. Complementing the standard NOMOS Glashütte Tetra model are the Tetra 27 and Tetra neomatik 39 variants, each with slightly different features.

NOMOS Glashütte

Glashütte is a small town located in the German eastern Erzgebirge mountains south of Berlin and near Dresden. It is nestled between forests and hills and is the designation of origin for NOMOS Glashütte watches, which have been manufactured here for more than 170 years. Today, the watch manufactory NOMOS Glashütte/SA Roland Schwertner KG is the largest manufacturer of mechanical watches in Germany and produces models that are now world-famous. The defining characteristic of all watches is the highest quality - an attribute that consequently also applies to the NOMOS Glashütte Tetra model. This model has been a classic for a quarter of a century in a timelessly simple and elegant design with a square contour that exudes an unmistakable charm.
