Tangomat series offers five models

The basic model enriches a Tangomat Datum, extended by a patented date system at 6 o'clock. Tangomat GMT additionally brings second time zone at nine o'clock and 24-hour display. International three-letter airport codes provide location information. The dark platinum metal coated dial of the Tangomat Ruthenium shows up as a counterpoint to the bright numerals and polished rhodium-plated hands. While the basic version is equipped with a steel case back, the other Tangomat models reveal a sapphire crystal case back with three-quarter plate, stop-seconds, six-layer fine adjustment, NOMOS escapement, rubies, temperature-blued screws and ornamental cuts. Case dimensions vary between 38.3 / 40.0 mm diameter and 8.2 / 8.3 / 10.9 mm height. The NOMOS Tangomat from Glashütte is splash-proof and water-resistant to 3 ATM.

From the classic Tangente to the Tangomat

NOMOS Glashütte/Saxony was founded as a brand in 1990. In 1992, it released its first four basic models, including the Tangente, which was showered with awards for its shape and quality. The logical development step was to transform this ingenious classic into the first NOMOS automatic watch, the Tangomat, and to reflect it in the name in a promotionally effective way. NOMOS recalls the traditional art of fine watchmaking at 3 locations in Glashütte. From creative, cosmopolitan Berlin, the design is contributed by the company's own subsidiary.
